Chocolate Brown Merino Wool Top Roving. Sold by the ounce at $3.50 per ounce. The color is darker than it appears in the photo. Two pounds available.
Merino wants to be spun fine. If you go for a thick yarn right off the bat, the wool will tend to draft in clumps, the ends of the fiber may not be secured well within the yarn, and your yarn will have a short lifespan and pronounced tendency to pill. To produce a thick yarn, spin several thin, nicely twisted strands and then ply them together.
